For lifestyle brands looking to expand to the next level take notes from Birchbox. Last night Birchbox came to the District to celebrate the three-year beauty subscription service with an intimate dinner at Malmaision in Georgetown. DC media, fashion and lifestyle bloggers, along with tastemakers were introduced to the new hot pink Birchbox with a quickly recognizable diamond logo that replaces the old square.
The table settings were perfectly decorated with beautiful roses (That some unnamed bloggers took home with them! No shade to them because the arrangements were absolutely gorgeous!) and name cards, which you hardly see nowadays.
Our first course was a salad of asparagus with herbs. For the main course I opted for the chicken breast with herbs, marinated in a wine sauce and potatoes. After being throughouly impressed with the decor, the food, and the diverse guest list, dessert came and literally took the cake! A rich chocolate with caramel tarte was just the sweet treat I needed to end such a great night. And oh, the waiters were sure to keep our glasses full of bubbly or wine
