Taraji P. Henson is television’s “It Girl” right now, so of course her hometown magazine, D.C. Modern Luxury Magazine, had to show her some love. They’ve made the Howard University alum their March cover girl and her spread is to die for!
In the magazine, Taraji also speaks about growing up in D.C. in the 80s.
“We never lived in the projects but we were in the hood, lower middle class, living paycheck to paycheck. …I remember watching our 13-inch black and white TV, and the newscasters were talking about crack. I saw the destruction happen firsthand in families, on the streets and in the schools. No hope, no jobs, despair.”
Keep making us proud T!
