It was an evening to remember this past Tuesday at the Broom Corn Building (1407 Fleet Street) as an intimate crowd gathered to kick off the fundraiser for the Baltimore Love Project. The Baltimore Love Project expresses love by connecting people and communities across Baltimore City through love themed murals.
Started a few years ago by local artist Michael Owen, he developed a design of four hands spelling out the word love. Now this image is painted on 20 walls, spread evenly across the communities of Baltimore City.
Ciroc donated over $1000 to support this program and raise the awareness of their objective. Local artist Michael Owen and “For Rent” boutique owner, Daniel Davis, painted autographed Under Armour sneakers donated by Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry and Portland Trailblazer Will Barton. Each sneaker raised over $200 when auctioned off.
Guest enjoyed cocktails provided by Ciroc, painting throughout the evening (which was my favorite part), delicious food by Jimmy’s famous Seafood and music by D.J. Aktive.
This was such an innovative event for a great cause. Kudos to Sonje’ Productions and Ciroc Vodka, keep it going!

Style the hair when you chalk. The texture from twisting helps to make the chalk release far more
pigment.
Always remember to brush the excess natural powder out right after chalking every
piece.
DO NOT wet your hair before chalking if you’re blonde or you have blonde tips.
I will stain if you do because adding water to pure pigment creates a real dye.
Go for it if you’re okay with the staining for several washes!
If you’re looking to do color for the day, do not add water at
any time.
You’ll NEED the water if your hair color is anything darker than blonde and you don’t have blonde tips.
Increasing the pigment is really what can help the shades to show up on more
dark locks. Mist a bit normal water on the strand using a apply
container, then chalk it! It won’t blemish darker head of hair much the same
way it will on less heavy your hair.
Red heads- try it without water and if it’s just not showing up, add a little water.
It merely is dependent upon how light-weight or darker your red is.
Just use “soft pastels”. These are generally our all time faves.
Senellier brand pastels possess the brightest and the majority of intense
repay we have actually we’ve and seen… tried out a whole lot.
So is hair color- and hair color removal, even though they’re nearly $4 per piece at
Blick, which seems a little expensive. Normal chalk does not operate exactly
the same. It is harder to exchange and getting it to stick to
your hair might be practically extremely hard.
Gentle chalk pastels can be obtained at any major art shop.
Just never get “soft chalk” pastels confused for oil
pastels. Ask a sales person if you’re confused. Removing essential oil pastels will be a horror, not to mention,
they’d feel totally tacky.
