Recap: Home By Martell Washington D.C.

This past Thursday night, a few hundred D.C. taste makers gathered at a meeting location in Chevy Chase, MD where we awaited black shuttle buses to take us to a private mansion in Washington D.C. The invitation did not give us an address, but everyone knew that they were in for one great night and Home By Martell did not disappoint.

Once on the buses, guests were escorted about fifteen minutes away to a ritzy neighborhood in Chesterfield Pl, N.W. Upon arrival, a violinist greeted us outside of the mansion. Once inside it was impossible not to stare at how absolutely modern and amazing everything looked. Although we were obviously in D.C. the style of the mansion looked very L.A. and stood out from all of the other houses in the neighborhood.

The center of the first floor featured a large circular bar where multiple bartenders were doing their best to serve the attendees that wouldn’t stop coming. Our favorite drink was the Martell Blue Swift that included shaved ice. It was so delicious that we couldn’t stop going back for more.

Throughout the house Martell was smartly branded all over with decals on the wall, back drops, sleek furniture that featured Martell pillows and even a Martell selfie ball. Who knew those existed ?

The four story home also included a patio that guests could go out on, a large basement with a D.J. and a Martell video booth that allowed you to make your own mini music video with your friends.  Hors d’oeuvres consisted of fresh baked cornbread topped with caviar (fancy), crab balls and more.

The brand topped the night off with a featured performance by Wale who hosted the event and it was certainly one for the books!
