Today, NBA Star Shaquille O’Neal signed a 2-year contract, worth about $3 million with the Celtics, rounding out what is starting to be called the geriatic team, as  most starting players are 30+.  How do we feel about this?

NBA player Shaquille O’Neal was in town this weekend. He dined at Oya on Saturday and Sunday night. On Saturday, he arrived with two women and a man (a double date perhaps?) while on Sunday he dined with his cousin.

Finally! I was waiting for this NBA melo-drama to continue. And although Gilbert Arenas got in trouble for not speaking to the media during the pre-season, which NBA players are required to do, it looks like he’s being outspoken about all of the off-the-court drama that recently occurred when TheYBF.com reported that Gilbert Arenas‘ fiancee Laura Govan was having a five-year affair with NBA player Shaquille O’Neal.

In a recent promotional video posted on the Internet, Gilbert Arenas (@gilbertarenas) is trying to reach one million followers before he ever starts tweeting. An interesting goal…but in the video not only does he hit his teammate with a belt (uhh, is that supposed to be funny?) he also uses this time to take a few shots at Shaq.

His teammate starts, “I’ll follow you, if you follow Shaq.” Gilbert responds with “So your a** wanna follow Shaq huh?” The video ends with, “Shaq got a million followers and he don’t have to do this.”

Pow! Pow! Now if that ain’t taking shots I don’t know what is…

I thought the holiday season meant more people would be getting together not cheating or breaking up.

Still, YBF recently reported that Laura Govan, Gilbert Arenas‘ fiance (you know the one who recently had a baby shower for their third child) has been cheating with NBA player Shaquille O’Neal for five years. Neither camp is confirming nor denying but YBF got their hands on some very convincing emails between the two where Shaq says he’s mad at Laura for getting pregnant with Gilbert‘s child because “I was supposed to fill that up.” Ew. NBA star Shaquille O’Neal was spotted at Red Star Tavern (906 S. Wolfe St) and Bourbon Street (316 Guilford Ave.) on Friday night. The basketball player was in town for an episode of his t.v. show “Shaq vs.”. Who knew Shaq had his own show? Read more about Shaq’s visit here.

There was word that the big man inside the paint, Shaquille O’Neal was in the District for Monday night’s WWE Raw wrestling match, and he also made appearances at many of our favorite hotspots. Seen at Shadow Room last week, looks like he also paid a visit to Josephine Lounge on Sunday night to party with local athletes and Sunday night regulars. *Update* Oh yea, and Shaq also tried to get into the White House wearing shorts but that was the no-go. Dag…I didn’t know the White House turned away celebs! Ouch
