The media and politicians have long battled in the District and yesterday, they fought it out in a good old-fashioned game on basketball. The game was organized by WTOP’s Mark Segraves and Council member Tommy Wells (D-Ward 6) after years of smack-talk!
The media team consisted of Coach WAMU’s Kojo Nnamdi and a variety D.C.’s finest from NBC4, the Washington Post, the Examiner, the Current Newspapers, Fox 5, WJLA, WTOP and the Washington City Paper.
The council team was led by former mayor Marion Barry and almost all of the legislative body members including Michael Brown and Kwame Brown.
Fun times! Oh yea…of course the media won! (we always win ::scary voice laugh/muh-hahaha!::)
