Come together to celebrate creativity, community, and freedom at the fifth-annual Juneteenth event at the MFA (465 Huntington Ave, Roxbury)—presented in partnership with Epicenter Community. The free event is from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Which will include a host of events throughout the museum. This event also marks the beginning of the Roxbury International Film Festival which will run through July 1st at the MFA. Opening films are Paris Noir and When We Rise. See complete details here.
The doors to the Boston Children’s Museum (308 Congress St) are opening to all those who are young at heart and 21+ from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The theme of the night is Summer Camp so you can get ready to earn an Archery badge in our camp challenge, make a Friendship Bracelet in the Art Studio and participate in many more fun camp activities! You’ll enjoy a full cash-bar and tasty treats for purchase. Bring friends and meet new ones as you explore interactive exhibits. Tickets are $25.00. Advance tickets are required.

They will be re-creating a Frandy Suero Art original “A Bob Marley Tribute”. You may bring your own marijuana to smoke. Purchase a painting seat for $45.00. Celebration Of Summer lV: Donna Summer Roller Disco Party takes place at Boston City Hall Plaza from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. This event features: a roller skating rink with free skate rental, performance by Mary Gaines Bernard ( Donna Summer’s sister, and background singer ), DJ Roy Barboza, Food trucks and water stations, Live art and interactive exhibits, The Boston Roller Derby and appearances from O’Mega Red and other members of the Summer family. The event is free and open to the public.
The Rum & Brew Tasting kicks off their annual 2-day festival celebrating jerk hot foods at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology (41 Berkeley St, South End) 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. VIP tickets available with entry at 6:00 p.m. Tickets start at $50.00, and you can get yours here. Today The Floor Lords kick off their 36th Annual anniversary presented by Pro Breakin Tour and sanctioned by UDEF at 10 Brookline Street, Cambridge with hosts El Nino and Xcel. There will be break battles with prizes of up to $1,000. Entrance fee is $20.00.
