Attending the National Association of Black Journalists-National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NABJ-NAHJ) Convention and Career Fair?

Come network with American University’s School of Communications’ faculty, staff, alumni and representatives from places such as WAMU, Politico and during a reception hosted by AU’s School of Communication and Entertainment and Media Alumni Alliance on Thursday, August 4 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Harding Room.


In addition to mingling and enjoying complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and beverages, we invite you to celebrate the professional achievements of Turner Television sports reporter David Aldridge, and Washington Post digital video editor Claritza Jimenez, who will each receive the School of Communication Distinguished Communicator Award, as well as Nolan D. McCaskill, who will receive the Politico Journalism Institute Emerging Communicator Award.


Unable to make the reception? No problem. Alumni, faculty, current students and staff from the AU Career Center, the Entertainment and Media Alumni Alliance and the School of Communication will be on hand to speak with you at the School of Communication booth for the first three days of the event.
