Elle Magazine, along with its editor-in-chief Robbie Myers, celebrated its July cover stars Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Kristen Wiig last night.

Inside Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails in West Hollywood, the “Ghostbusters” remake stars mingled with other comediennes, including my new favorite Ali Wong, along with Jane Lynch, who emceed the evening. Ali and Iliza Schlesinger, Michelle Buteau and Nikki Glazer feted the cover girls by performing stand-up comedy performances.

“Someone on the red carpet asked me why do a Women in Comedy issue now? Because women who make the culture — and change the culture — is our mission, and when we heard that Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Kristin Wiig were starring in the remake of ‘Ghostbusters,’ it just seemed like a watershed moment, the moment to take stock of women in the industry as a whole,” Robbie told guests at the event.

Other notables we spied included original “Ghostbusters” star Dan Aykroyd, “Modern Family’s” Sarah Hyland and Julie Bowen along with Busy Phillips and Mayim Bialik.
