Well, they say all good things come to an end!
Sadly, the legendary U Street jazz club Bohemian Caverns is closing at the end of the month, according to co-owner Omrao Brown.
He told the Washington City Paper, “A profit margin for a restaurant is something like six, seven percent. We’ve been down 20, 30 percent for two years.”
When BC closes later this month, Tap & Parlour and Liv, the restaurant and nightclub that occupy the top floors, will close along with it.
It will definitely be sad to see Bohemian Caverns go — the same place where legendary musicians such as Duke Ellington and Miles Davis have played.
