The weather outside is… well, brick. So you’re probably ready to just pull up the covers and close your eyes hoping that the warmth will come from somewhere. Erykah BaduThursday, December 3

The Berklee School of Music’s Neo-Soul Ensemble, welcomes you out to their fall show; a tribute to the one and only Ms. Erykah Badu.The show will feature smash hits such as, “On & On,” “Green Eyes,” “Out of my Mind,” “Love of my life,” at the Boylston Building (921 Boylston St) from 3:30 – 4:30. The event is FREE and most suitable for college students.

Development has started to make major changes in Roxbury – these changes and more to come will continue to impact the community. Councilor Jackson has initiated a community-driven process for Roxbury to identify shared goals and take action on planning and development decisions that impact Roxbury. Come decide how Roxbury will make our voice heard and influence development decisions in Roxbury tonight at Roxbury Community College (1234 Columbus Ave, Roxbury) in the Student Center (Building 4), 2nd Floor from 6:00pm -8:00pm. Food, child care and translation services will be available on site. RSVP and take the survey here!

Get ready for the “New Year, New You” by making a Vision Board with General Assembly (51 Melchner St) and VENT by Ty-Juana Flores from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. They will provide the card stock and glue sticks, but  ask that guests bring their own scissors and magazines. Tonight marks the opening night of Black Nativity, the longest running rendition of the Langston Hughes song-play in the world, at the Paramount Theater (557 Tremont St, Theater District). Tonight’s performance begins at 8:00pm. Ticket prices begin at $32.00 and can be purchased here! If you miss the performance tonight (or want to see it again) the play will run through December 20th.

Saturday, December 5

Donate an 18 inch doll to a girl in need for the Third Annual DIVAS & Dolls DOLL Drive. This Doll Drive is to benefit girls (ages 3-12) at the Elizabeth Stone House and other area shelters. All dolls need to be new and in the box. Drop them off at Grove Hall Branch Library (41 Geneva Avenue (2nd floor) between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. If you have questions call Natasha at 978.636.5570.
