Jonathan Nelson at Howard

In what became the perfect ending to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation‘s Annual Legislative Conference, The Fab Empire with Reid Temple DC hosted “Sunday Brunch at Howard Theatre (620 T Street NW)” featuring a performance by Gospel artist Jonathan Nelson.

While guests dined on Howard Theatre’s diverse brunch menu — featuring chicken and waffles, an¬†everything omelet and even huevos rancheros — Jonathan performed his new single, “Anything Can Happen,” along with old favorites such as “Strong Finish” and “My Name is Victory.”

Before that, however, saxophonist James Cheeks wowed the crowed with Gospel instrumentals and Amos Saint-Jean not only performed a cover of¬† “Lord I Lift Your Name on High,” but also performed a new song from his latest project, “Elevate.”
