The Penthouse Pool and Lounge at The Yards (1212 4th Street SE) kicked off summer 2015 with a splash. The rooftop pool, located in Southeast D.C., provided a taste of summer fun at the grand opening of their urban oasis.
DJ Finn kept the atmosphere light and vibrant as guests enjoyed complimentary MargaVIDAs and shots of VIDA tequila. The Penthouse Pool drink menu highlights a variety of signature summer selections including The Dark & Stormy, The Bloomsbury Fizz, the Raspberry Amigo and the Jalapeno Margarita.

The lounge offers a limited selection of fresh seasonal dishes to satisfy an appetite. Spikes Gin and Juicy Crab Cakes, Watermelon Feta Salad and Shroomin Quesadillas are a few items that caught my eye, but a delicious pineapple and plantain guacamole took the cake.
If you’re searching for a local venue to rest, relax and rejuvenate this summer, the luxurious rooftop hangout is definitely the perfect spot.
