Jamie Foxx is hot on his music promo run after taking a five year hiatus from the music industry. The triple threat — comedian, actor and singer — stopped into D.C. last night for a private listening lounge at the W Hotel’s POV Lounge for his latest album, Hollywood, out May 18.
Fab Award-winning deejay, DJ Quicksilva and DTLR Radio’s Tiara hosted of the event, which was packed with D.C. socialites and media of course. We spied Carlita Pitts, Candice Nicole and blogger Bobby Pen.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to appetizers and Hennessy cocktails while listening to Jamie describe how he got started in the music business. He also talked through a few select songs on his new album.
Jamie not only performed songs — including his latest hit single “You Changed Me” — he also entertained the crowd. Not only did Jamie walk through the crowd taking pictures with whomever asked, he also helped one special lady celebrate her birthday. And it wouldn’t be Jamie if he didn’t have a twerk contest, offering $2,000 for the best dancer.

Jamie isn’t leaving D.C. just yet. Thanks to WPGC, he’ll be at DC Lottery Live (1015 Half Street SE) tonight from 5 – 6:30 p.m. for an exclusive meet and greet.
