It looks like rapper Nas is doing more with his fellowship title by investing in Black and Latino youth. The “Illmatic” rapper has teamed up with tech education firm General Assembly to provide an $8,000 scholarship towards their Web Development Immersive Program. There is one caveat, however: the awardee is still responsible for paying the remaining $3,000 of the course tuition (y’all couldn’t splurge for the whole thing?). Still, it is good to see more people of color investing tech training and jobs.
If you know someone who would be interested in this program, send them this way to apply.
