During yesterday’s evening drive, DJ Flexx, who hosts WPGC 95.5 FM from 2-6 p.m. on weekdays, scared listeners when he had an on-air emergency.
Listeners were struggling to find out what happened to Flexx, who’s been on D.C. radio since 1991. DC Fab! sources heard Flexx cough or choke, drop to the floor while other radio staff rushed in and quickly cut to more music.
Update: On Thursday, Flexx addressed the incident on-air, saying, “I am fine. I am absolutely fine…thank you for your well wishes and everything you have done.”
“Anybody else in the DMV listening to 95.5 ?! radio host just had a heart attack or something then you hear somebody say we’ll brb” @dontbe1jsteat1

“I think DJ Flexx just had a seizure or something..slim was slurring words and choking and then they cut to commercial” @alieshabonita
Word has it WPGC will tell listeners what happened at 3 p.m. today. Although sources at the radio station still say they have no idea what happened.
