Despite all of the drama, and the idiot who decided to charge students, alumni and everybody else $5 to attend this year’s Yardfest, along with the saddening news that eight people had to be hospitalized with minor injuries after some bumrushed the security gates, at Howard University artists did in fact make it to the stage to entertain those who came and those who survived.
Reggae artist Gyptian, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Bone Thugs N’ Harmony took the stage as reality star Po Johnson hosted the afternoon.
Other celebs DC Fab! correspondent Angel Mills spotted included Sassy and Puma from VH1’s Black Inc. Crew, Olympian David Oliver, singer/actor Tristan Mack Wilds and Marlon Wayans.
Also, word has it Drake came to the Yard to perform with 2 Chainz, but was unable to perform so he left. Womp.
