This past Thursday Sonje Productions and Events 4 Good People hosted the first night in a new live music series, at Mirage Nightclub (401 West Baltimore St.) If you’re looking for something other than the club scene in Baltimore, this monthly event is the place to be!
From to six to nine p.m, patrons enjoyed live music from the Alley Cats Band who were amazing! The band covered hits such as “Marvin’s Room” by Drake, “Flashing Lights” from Kanye West, music from Jill Scott and many more. Heineken, who sponsored the event, had models on hand passing out green Mardi Gras style beads.
Keith Menu Design catered the event and served Mini Crab Cakes, Shrimp Burritos, Jambalaya, Apple wood Chicken Wings, Baby Green Salad, and crab dip. Nothing on the menu cost more than ten dollars. R&B singer Wish brought down the house while performing with the Alley Cats band (check out some of the footage below!) Notables in the building included Baltimore’s own, singer Paula Campbell, DeJuan, and celebrity hairstylist Steven Thomas. We also want to note that this monthly event will help to raise HIV Awareness in our community. Every third Thursday, female recording artists will lend their talent to help support this initiative. This is something for young professionals to enjoy. Next date will be Thursday, July 19th featuring the First Lady of Baltimore, Paula Campbell, and celebrating her birthday. We’ll certainly be there! Check out the video of WISH singing below:
