R. Kelly stopped by the Verizon Center over the Fourth of July holiday weekend along with R&B powerhouses Keyshia Cole and Marsha Ambrosius. The Pied Piper hasn’t performed live in the District in years. So of course locals were excited of his return, even creating a rumor that he was buying property to stay in the DMV longer. Not true!
Still, fans got a taste of R.Kelly classics on Saturday as he performed older songs including “Ignition” and “When a Woman Loves.”
Still, his concert also included elements of oddity that we’ve come to expect with Kells including video segments and an odd slideshow of professional photos that we could’ve gone to Google.com/Images if we really wanted to see them.
