Anji Corley Leaves WPGC

We told you that WPGC-FM 95.5 was shaking things up and it seems like Anji Corley is out. She recently announced on-air and in a heartfelt note on Facebook that she was leaving the station after winning America’s Next Top Jock and co-hosting with a don in radio Donnie Simpson.

Anji Corley writes:

The DMV threw it’s loving arms around me so tight I didn’t want to exhale! Although you will not hear me on from 10 – 2a right now, all is not lost. I have been blessed with numerous outlets to expand and express AC! From lifestyle contributor for The Root to Prime News on CNN/HLN and other opportunities that I can’t mention YET…I claim favor victory and peace. I’m so happy and I’m NOT going any where you cannot reach me and feel my happy spirit.

Much love to my PGC fam. We will be in love always. Most of all I love you my friends for supporting me and always wanted the best for me. I still plan to live my motto to “celebrating life EVERYDAY and asking others to join in”!

A few weeks ago, we also reported that Sunni, a reporter for NecoleBitchie, was joining the station. Our sources tell us that her role was to be a part-time on-air personality, filling in for Lil Mo when needed and doing weekends. Still, the blogger turned radio personality may have a bigger timeslot to let her light shine.
