Recap: Lil Kim, Paul Mooney, Lil B at Grand Opening of La Scala in Harlem

Across from the legendary Apollo Theater on 125th in Harlem, Rose Cordon opened La Scala Luxury Boutique (254 West 125th St.), calling it Harlem’s first luxury boutique. Lil Kim, a native of Brooklyn, came all the way uptown to celebrate with Cordon. Fashionistas couldn’t wait to snap their picture with Ms. Kim herself who showed up with Lil B. (If you remember, Lil B is related to Ray-J, who was once connected to Lil Kim.) Guests also enjoyed passed hors d’Ĺ“uvres, champagne and Hennessy Black.

Other local celebrities who celebrated the grand opening included comedian Paul Mooney who joked, “Y’all know y’all can’t pronounce [the name] so just call it La,” in reference to the boutique’s moniker. Also, rapper Mims, Ashley Holmes of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” and celebrity publicists Jonathan Cheban and Lizzie Grubman were spotted.
