[CBC Week] Is the RSVP List Closed? Don’t Worry! You Can Still Party!

Did someone in your office make that Excel sheet that’s been circulating? Or perhaps they created that PDF document! Still, DC Fab! created it’s annual “An Insider’s Guide to Congresional Black Caucus Week” where there are still events you can RSVP to. But, if you’d like to party during CBC week and enjoy some great concerts, check out these listings below:

  • UPTOWN Magazine presents the pre-album release party for R&B singer John Legend at The Park at Fourteenth on Thursday, Sept. 16. Happy hour open bar from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The party goes from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Attire: Black Tie optional. RSVP is required.
  • Sponsored by The Root, CNN correspondent Roland Martin hosts the “Ascot Affair and CBC Dinner After Party” at Tuscana West (1350 I (Eye) Street NW) on Saturday, Sept. 18. The party goes from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Attire: Semi-formal
  • The Park at Fourteenth (920 14th Street) hosts a special edition of their happy hour on Friday, Sept. 17. The host committee includes author (and my soror) Helena Andrews, Congressional Black Associates, African-American Women on the Hill, Greeks on the Hill, Senate Black Staff Associates and Fresh XPress. The happy hour features $5 cocktails from 5 p.m. tp 7 p.m. and complimentary passed hors d’oeuvres. RSVP by 3 p.m. on Friday.
