Would it be corny to start singing, “Oh what a night!”? Still, it was a fabulous party — and no, I’m not just saying that because I’m biased (well, maybe a little but The Hill isn’t! See what they said about our party here!).
Still, DC Fab! celebrated three years of bringing you the best in nightlife, society and entertainment in Washington, DC with a cocktail party sponsored by Rémy Cointreau USA. Over 200 writers, bloggers, politicos and entertainers gathered at Recess Lounge to celebrate DC Fab! and the rest of The Fab Empire team. The evening was hosted by Editor-in-Chief Joi-Marie McKenzie (duh, me!).
Many Washington D.C. tastemakers showed their support including DJ Quicksilva, Cynthia Gordy, White House Correspondent for ESSENCE Magazine, Danella, co-host of the Big Tigger Morning Show, blogger Danielle Belton, CSPAN’s Lindley Smith and a host of other really fabulous people.
With specialty drinks like The Hill, The Georgetowner, DC Fab!tini, The First Lady and the U Street Sour, guests sipped all night while listening to the sounds of DJ Heat. Thanks to Carol’s Daughter, guests also enjoyed complimentary hand massages and hair consultations.
Guests also enjoyed a bag of goodies thanks to many local and national sponsors including Carol’s Daughter, Clockwise Clothing, D’ Brows, DaNkideas.com, Hewlard Packard, Maise Dunbar Spa, Rémy Cointreau USA, Skin Beauty Lounge, The Ted Gibson Salon, Uptown Magazine and Vita Co Co.
What a great way to kick off Congressional Black Caucus week!
