I have to tell you I am so excited whenever I get a chance to see local talented artists showcased and the fact that the eent was put on by a man I totally “heart” Justin Springer and that 100% of the funds were going to a great cause One Love Project – an organization which give assistance to youths living with HIV in the area, reall made this event a top priority for me to attend.
This was my first time going to the Hard Rock for an event and it was very nice that the space had been donated for the cause as well. I think it was a great idea for it to be held over such a long time range from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m. so that those who wanted to come for only an hour or two could do that.
The hosts Rich Dimare and Tee Whitlow did a great job of being funny, and not overy corny, as well as moving the acts along.
And what great acts they were! I missed my Fab! Fav! April Stanford… But I did get to see Louie Bello, Ashley Rose, Duncan Daniels, Danny “Sky High” McClain, Air Traffic Controller,Troy Durdan, Joy Daniels, and Amandi…whew! And remember I got there late!
I gotta say though Amandi brought the energy level of the room up for the proceeding acts to follow! Especially sending his “I Really Love Ya” ringing in my ears. The other act I have to highlight of the ones I saw was of course Joy Daniels who rocked the stage with a super impacting, non divaish performance. Can’t wait for her album release!
Unfortuantely management cut the night an hour short, but I really enjoyed being exposed to Boston Artists doing their thing for a really great cause.
Kudos to Justin! And Happy Birthday – again
