Vickie Winans returned to the DMV (D.C., MD & VA area) to star in Christmas Celebration 2008 held at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Singing “We Shall Behold Him” and “O Holy Night”, Vickie Winans took the stage at this broadway-style production complete with Pyro-technics, Laser light show, and live animals. Camels, Donkeys, Sheep, Llamas and Horses all took the stage. Even with the exotic animals, exotic cars also took the stage.
There was a place for everyone in this show. From the youngest of persons to the eldest, each played a role in telling the story of Traditional Christmas traditions in the first half to the birth through the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ in the second half.
Also starring in a few showings, Marvin Sapp made guest appearances singing “Never Would’ve Made It” adding also an alternate ending to the play. DMV’s own Terrell Hunt had a role all throughout the play. He sang ballads like “Joyful, Joyful” and “Stand Up”. There was even a Motown Battle scene (don’t ask me why?)
Its a must see show. So if you missed it this holiday season, mark your calendars now because it will be back next season.
